What would you do if I told you there was an arthritis treatment that actually can regrow cartilage in 50% of patients that has been proven in controlled trials?

The best part of the whole scenario is that it is completely natural and safe!

Test subjects found that they were taking less pain meds in 7 days. They experienced less stiffness and better mobility in 15 days (50% improvement), and saw cartilage growth in 90 days (up to 50% improvement).

Do you know how many signalling molecules fat cells make?

I am sitting here writing the rough draft of my dissertation on Metabolic Syndrome for my PhD in Natural Medicine. How many signaling molecules do fat (adipose) cells make?  The answer may shock you, but the answer is 25. There is a repeating theme that I am finding. Almost all of the adipokines are linked to obesity, diabetes type 2, inflammation, and cardiovascular issues. Surprise, Surprise. luckily this is just in the introduction.

So, let’s talk about Cortisol.

Cortisol is that nasty hormone that makes you get a beer belly due to stress, and the only thing that can be done about it is removing the stress from our life. That is partly true. A balanced diet, focus on sleep, limit caffeine and alcohol are all great steps. Cortisol can be managed with herbal medicine as well. Check out these blog posts on herbs that can help reduce cortisol: Rhodiola, Ginseng, and my favorite Ashwagandha (translated from Sanskrit means smells like a horse.) There are also supplement makers with formulas to reduce stress and cortisol when you have done all you can do.

Nature may be slow, but everything gets done.

That was on a sticker I received in the last couple of months, and it is the inevitable truth.

As a Traditional Naturopath, I believe in empowering individuals to take control of their health through natural methods.

That’s why I recommend a preventative approach to your nutrition. By coming in for an appointment with me, we can identify areas where you may be at risk for these health issues and work together to develop a personalized plan that will help you maintain optimal health.

This is a good tip for even long car rides

So, as a former truck driver who had a heart attack after doing 8 hours sitting on my wallet here is a tip to staying healthy. Get out every 2 hours and walk for 10 minutes. even if it is just around your truck or rest area for that time. this will assist with blood flow from your feet back up to your body.

Everyone have a great weekend!
Stay healthy!
Don’t add or subtract from the population :)!

I will be out of the office from the 29th to April 4th. I will be answering phones when I can. If you need me, just call the office (775)299-5998 or use the contact us page or book online.

We have a beautiful sunshiny warm day coming our way.

Be sure to go outside and get your vitamin D, make more Nitric Oxide (walking), and it gets you off of the winter perch! When you walk, you should get just winded enough that you should be able to carry on a conversation. 15 minutes of walking with 5 minutes of being winded to that level will do wonders for you.
